This series of photographs was made in the summer of 2021, as I was graduating college. During this time I was confused. I was graduating with a major that I did not enjoy, but a pandemic and a shitty online education had destroyed all my motivation to switch gears so late on. I’m lucky to have gone to college, but the anxiety and uncertainty of the pandemic compounded with my existing uncertainty about my career path and future, resulting in a graduation that was unfulfilling. I was left feeling burnt out and lost, anxious about the start of the next chapter of my life.

I set out to make this work to reflect on the last four years and create a sort of goodbye letter to this beautiful place where I had been living. However, the images I came back with are more personal and honest, reflecting my state of mind at the time, rather than serving as a pure exploration of place.
